It was becoming a chore by the start of the week. We were both feeling unwell. I had a fever, and the start of a respiratory illness. The heat and humidity was getting to us.

So we gathered the remnants of our energy on Monday, and bought n as much fruit and veg as we could muster. It was then off on Tuesday morning. There was little wind, but we had planned to just get around the top of the big island, Kai Kecil, ans anchor up at Ngurbloat Beach where we would be able to cool off in the water. The swim helped me to recover, but Birgit was still getting worse. In the end, we both had to stay in bed for a couple of days each to recover from the fever and coughing. I suspect it was a mild case of Covid.

Today we are both well enough to head off again, trying to get north to Raja Ampat before the winds die out for the season. It is just a short 20nm trip to Palau Walir for tonight.
