Back in Australia, we are familiar with mangroves growing on sandbanks and mudflats. It took us by surprise when we found that the mangroves grow in coral here at Wayag, in Raja Ampat.

That’s interesting Chris. Maybe no mud crabs if the mangroves are growing in coral, unless slowly over time the sediment gets trapped around the roots and so the eco systems changes. ??? Hope you have a great trip south.
