We’ve been in the same place now for two weeks, just because it is so spectacular. We arrived on the new moon, and there has just been a full moon two nights ago. With the full moon, the tides have increased in range, and have been extreme over the last few days, with coral exposed at low tide each morning. The tides have also changed over the two week period, going from semi-diurnal to diurnal (two tides a day have become one). This gallery of photos was taken at the low tide yesterday morning.

There are a lot of little isolated storms about, but not very violent. We have been under 3 or 4 in the two weeks we’ve been in this spot, but have not had wind over 15 knots in all that time. Seen no big fish; tusk fish to about a kilo the biggest, but the water is alive with swarms of little fish that seem to feed on reef algae.
