After arriving at Wooli after our trip to Arnhem Land, we anchored in the Wooli Wooli River near the downstream boatramp, and stayed there a couple of nights.
With the tide flooding in, and a gentle southerly breeze, we sailed SeeBeeZee upstream to anchor opposite the village. With more focus on control rather than speed, we sail under just the genoa, the foresail in front of the mast. Conditions were light, and we had trouble getting the genoa to fill, and had to gybe back and forth a few times as we altered course to follow the channel.
This was early 2020, and while the Covid virus was starting to spread in the northern hemisphere, we could not imagine that it was to keep us constrained in this river for most of the year.
