We didn’t leave Wooli until quite late in the season. It has been a number of years since our last extended cruise, and we were excited to be off again for 2022. Preparations, and then bad weather forced our late departure. With the short time available before the threat of cyclones in the north, the Whitsundays were always going to be the likely place to turnaround and head south again. This year, we ended up at Wathumba Creek on K’gari twice, on the way north and back south again. It really is one of the gems of the Queensland coast.
