We began putting the frames of SeeBeeZee onto the strongback jig on the log weekend at the start of June 2012. I was working fulltime then, and progress was hard work until I was forced into a redundancy in early 2014. That forced things along, and we were ready to launch the boat at Wooli using a crane on 15 December 2015.
While we were building SeeBeeZee in our shed near the house, we were maintaining a blog about the progress of the project, mainly so that our families could keep track of the work and dispel their theory that we were mad for taking on such a huge task so late in life.
The photos in that blog were mainly uploaded to the now obsolete “Picasa” software that Google superceded with “Photos”, and so most of the photos from the build vanished from the internet. I am working on replacing those, and making the blog complete again.
