While in Sorong last week, we rented a scooter to provide better access to the facilities of the city, and one of the highlights this freedom provided was access to food.
We ate out every meal but breakfast, while we were in Sorong. This ranged from a western style pizzeria to roadside stalls, where one night we had fresh fish grilled over coals served with rice and veg and sauces and then the next night the same but chicken, to Indonesian style fast food, and little cafes.
In general, we find the food really tasty, and not really too hot as the chilli is usually served as a salsa side dish, but certainly really cheap. The only place that cost more than 100,000Rp (about $AUD10) for the two of us including drinks was the pizzeria.
