We have three plastic tanks to contain our fresh drinking water on SeeBeeZee, and these tanks feed a water pressure pump to the taps at various locations on board. The tanks are individually plumbed so that we can take water from any one tank, and so maintain the balance of the boat and be able to better manage water quality and quantity.
These tanks can be filled through deck fittings or by running our desalination pump. We also collect rain water from the roof, which is fitted with a gutter, from which we can run hoses into drums or into the tanks directly.
We also carry a number of drums to contain fresh water, as these are required to carry water on board when we take it one from locations where a hose can not reach from the spigot to the tank. Sometimes we use the drums by emptying them into the tanks through the deck fittings, and other times (like filling the washing machine) we use the water directly from the drums.
