While had dried out a number of times on sandbanks with the tide, this was the first time of being mechanically hoisted and placed in a yard. Not as scary as the initial launch with the crane, but still an experience that makes you a bit nervous. We were here for over a week, and it felt like building the boat back at home, working a hard schedule to make the most of the short and cold days.
The haulout at BoatWorks was so easy. The facilities are designed to make the operation as risk free as possible, and the surrounding are maintained in the best possible manner. For example, we were surprised to find the concrete yard was regularly cleaned with a little street sweeper machine, and large washing machines are available to use at no cost. This experience does not compare to any other boat yard I have ever seen.
